What games did you play when you were in childhood with friends or family?
Playing cards? UNO? Chess? Backgammon? Monopoly? Jenga?
It is not so much opportunity to play the games after you became adults but if you play,
you enjoy the games and absorb in it as well as when you are in childhood.
The rule is easy and all people in all over the world can enjoy.
And to top of it, the conversation with everyone around the table during the game is actually fun.
Because of recent development of computer game, playing alone is kind of trend,
but on the other hand, playing that people seat around the table
such as playing cards and monopoly is also getting popular now.
Even though the computer game needs charger, the analog game as new genre doesn’t need it,
and many new games are born in the world.
Especially there are lots of game using board,so the board game is the main stream now.
Such a popular and worldwide board game
It is getting recognized in Japan recently, and big events are held.
Moreover, the café that everyone can play board games is born.
The spot I would like to introduce today is the board game café
I went JELLY JELLY CAFÉ with Joy from the US and Matt from Canada and Rose from China.

It takes 7 minutes by walk from Shibuya Station.
It is located the middle of “Shisuko-zaka”

You can play 5 hours by just JPY 1,500.
Actually, the time flies so fast if you concentrate on the game.

Tetris?
Tetris has the image of video game, but there is actually the board game!
It looks so fun! Let’s play “Tetris Link”.
The rule is simple and easy.
You cast the special dice, and you need to put the same shape block that the pip indicate.
If you can put the 3 blocks, you get 3 points.
If you make the space between blocks, you lose 1 point. Simple right?
Do not worry, there is English manual
(It depends on the games)
You can offend to get the points, and also it is good idea to prevent others’ points.
The tactic is important.
Interrupting is the best way to make games fun lol

The players and time need are written on the package of the game,
but the easiest way is to ask staff.
“We want to play the game like easy for beginner, with how many people,
within what time, and what kind of game”

This is the game called “Dr. Eureka” for competing speed.
This is like chemical experiment that you need to move the 3 colors balls by using test-tube.
All you have to do is to move the balls as the card indicates.
You cannot drop the ball because this is the experiment.
It is so thrilling game that demands the speed and the caution.
“Geist” is simple game to forward to the goal or to take against pieces,
but the tactics and diplomat are important to this game; the game is simple but hard lol
And, this is the game we want to try lastly.
(Karesansui?)
“Karesansui” is one of the Japanese historical culture,
and it is the garden which is expressed by sand, stone, or grass.
But, how this become the game?
We have to play this game as the job of Cool Japan.
This game is little complicated when comparing with the games we already played,
so it is hard to explain, but briefly speaking, the person who made the most beautiful garden is the winner lol
Matt satisfies with making beautiful garden
Time flies so fast (we actually need more time)
We stayed there only 2 hours, but we enjoyed the games
and actually enjoyed with everyone which is the most important and best thing.
Moreover, there was no foreign customer today, but foreign customers often come here.
Most of them bring the game they bought and play.
