Recently, lots of my foreign friends often come to Japan, and they always ask me
“Do you know the place where it is cheap, convenience, and clean?”
I always think they are greedy, but I will introduce my recommend place today.
<Oak Hostel Fuji>
This is the hostel like dormitory which is built in April, 2016,
and it is located Asakusa, Tokyo that is popular place for foreigners.
Just 1.1 km to Sensouji, and it takes only 12 minutes to Kaminarimon or Nakamise-dori,
so you can enjoy shopping around that area.In fact, people who are using this hostel are 90 % foreigners,
so I will find out with Maxim who is from French why Oak Hostel Fuji is chosen by foreigners.First, come inside and write some applications.
Of course, staff can speak English.
So, you can ask something whatever you don’t know
or they will teach you about the sightseeing spots around Asakusa.
It might be a big help to you.The price is from JPY 2,500/stay
It is really reasonable even comparing with the normal hotels.
Even though it is cheap, everyone hate if the room is messed or dirty.Do not worry about that. Super clean!
Also, there is the auto-lock key by each dormitory block; the security is good.
There is the floor for only women, so take it easy.” There is the family-type room
This hostel is all clean even bathrooms or sinks.
Going up to the rooftop…and,
You can see the sky tree which is symbol of Tokyo from here.
It is cloudy today, so the scenery is not good actually,
but when it is sunny day…no words need right?
I heard most people eat lunch here. It sounds good.
It is cloudy, but let’s cook lunch by own and eat here!Down stairs and let me introduce the sharing spaces.
This space is always busy and full of fun;
you can be friends with other people
who are staying here or have some conversation with the staffs and so on.
So friendly place here.Of course, you can cook.
Just buy some materials from super market or convenience stores around the hostel.I made Yakisoba today.
The rooftop is really good choice to have a lunch!
I run through about facilities, but the facilities are not only the good points of Oak Hostel.
What is it? It is… the events.
The events that lodgers can experience some Japanese culture are held in Oak Hostel regularly. It is free to join for lodgers.
The picture is the event of Okonomiyaki and Takoyaki party.
The foods that make by myself are really good
You can communicate with other people during the party.
Even if it is the first time, the staff always take care of you.The local kids are also invited, so you can relax even if you are shy.
You can learn many things about Japan from the kids especially Japanese anime lolLook at this picture!
Do you think they are not having fun? Look at their smilesThe pictures about the fun memories at Oak Hostel Fuji on the wall
Every picture says like
“it was really fun”,
“it was great experience”,
or and so on with smiles.I heard the guy wanted to stay about 10 days, but because here is fun and comfortable,
he stayed here more than 100 days lolBut… yeah I feel him!
It is near from the popular spot Asakusa,
reasonable, clean, and safe,
and you can experience the Japanese culture. These are the secret reason why the Oak Hostel is popular for foreigners.
The comments from Maxim…
For your information, Oak Hostel group will open Oak Hostel Nara in November 2016.
They will allow you to stay only JPY 1 as opening campaign,
so people who have the plan to go to Kyoto or Nara should choose there.
https://oakhostel.com/nara/index.htmlThere are 2 more places in Tokyo without I introduced today:
Oak Hostel Fuji and Oak Hostel Nara, so please use these hostels too.https://oakhostel.com/
Moreover, for people who want to stay long term,
my recommendation is share house or share residence
(of course there are also some events too).
People who want to know about Japan more should use there.https://www.oakhouse.jp/eng/
